We are the children's ministry of Tabernacle Baptist Church, ministering to children ages kindergarten to 5th grade. We exist to partner with parents to raise a biblically literate, fully devoted generation of believers and disciples of Jesus Christ. Our sincere hope is that every child would have a Bible in their hand, a purpose in their life, and a Savior in their heart.
We believe that parents are called to be the primary spiritual leaders for their children (Deuteronomy 6:1-9, Ephesians 6:4). We also believe the church is called to come alongside parents and support them in this incredible responsibility by reinforcing the biblical truths taught at home.
The mission of the Bridge Kidz is to build a bridge of faith for every child - teaching biblical truth, encouraging spiritual growth, and helping kids live out God's love every day.
The Bridge Kidz divide into age-appropriate small groups for Sunday School. We use a Bible-based curriculum that incorporates biblical teachings, Bible skills, and scripture memorization.
Our Bridge Kidz service begins in "big church" with song and worship. We then return to the secure Bridge Kidz area for small groups, where we expand on the day's Sunday School lesson through illustrations, games, and crafts.
Our fourth- and fifth-graders participate in a separate curriculum after returning from "big church" that prepares them to be "Game-Day Disciples".
This mid-week program helps grade schoolers build a lasting foundation of Bible skills and scripture memorization, experience small group discipleship, and learn strong life application skills.
